The Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) truly is "where leaders come to train". The conference is geared toward both volunteer and career firefighters and attracts over 28,000 firefighters from across Canada and the US each year.
At FDIC, you can expect everything from full day workshops and intense classroom sessions taught by the best in the world to Hands On Training sessions that will allow you to learn new in real scenarios. These sessions are designed to challenge firefighters of every level, from rookie to veteran.
When you're not learning in a classroom or in the field, check out the huge trade show space and see the newest technology from industry leaders including live demonstrations.

And of course, you can also expect to have some FUN in Indy. With everything from piano bars to the Indy Speedway, no one will ever say they didn't have a good time! The Fire Within organizes an unforgettable trip to FDIC that you won't want to miss.
What happened at FDIC 2010?
Due to popular demand, this year we offered the opportunity to attend the H.O.T. (Hands On Training) Sessions in addition to the regular training courses.
THIS YEAR - The Fire Within group attended an Indianapolis Indians AAA baseball game while at FDIC. We reserved the third base Terrace for the group to enjoy the game and watch the Indians take on the Louisville Bats.

As always, attendees stayed right downtown near the convention centre at the beautiful Conrad Hilton Indianapolis.
